WHO AM I?
Hi, I'm Laszlo. I am a photographer living and working in Melbourne.
I was born in Sydney but grew up in Melbourne. I attended school in the inner city and am currently a student at Monash University. I am studying a Bachelors of Arts, focusing on film and sociology. I go crazy for all things art, but visual arts and performance hold my heart.
My journey with photography started in the underground rave scene in Melbourne, where I began taking portraits of the attendees of these events. I quickly fell in love with photography and how it effected the way I see the world. I become hyper aware when photographing and the rush of capturing fleeting moments is unmatched.
MY ART
My primary artistic project is a series of candid photos and portraits, focusing on the underground rave scene in Melbourne. The end goal for this project is to put together a book that will serve as a time capsule of subculture, fashion memories and life! Along the way I hope to release a series of zines, focusing on candid moments and portraits.
I am currently learning studio photography and studio portraiture with the goal of working with lifestyle, fashion and object brands.
I primarily work on film, both medium format and 35mm. For my current project, I am working with colour negative film.
